For Pink
For Pink, The Havanese With Many Poems By Harry Bennett
A name to grow into I think
Should happen to one in a blink
A young life cultivation
Comes a new BIS sensation
And we simply just call the girl “Pink”.
This pup from the east of Caribbea
Femme Fatale like in Grease that Olivia
Her hair tousled not a twirl
She was often a whirl
And so her career was too I don’t fib ya.
This was a young girl with a “do”
She looked always together he threw
Her style as is
But it wasn’t “the frizz”
So complaints of a part did ensue.
Her guy showed his dog from the start
‘Biding by those words from the heart
Grooming perfect imperfection
Not section by section
‘Til death undo me part.
Tho’ color as such immaterial
No blues to be shown is imperial
A Black nose it does state
‘Cept a brown on chocolate
Even so the rainbow does carry all.
From up on the hill it looked grand
A new place, a new crown in her hand
But with finals a coming
The numbers a summing
There’s no time twinkling toes in the sand.
Adventure and glamour the key
She’s heard something ’bout “Had To Be Me”
So she took on a call
Not once afraid to fall
She’s already gone higher than they see.
So off to the West Coast she flew
Only Mom and her hairdresser knew
No idea of St. Nick’s
But Mark Roberts, the Pix
For he was from Santa Ana too.
Heralds the Gulf yes the breeze
At levels its not at to sneeze
Tho it’s impact is great![pink200806right[1]](http://havaneseharbor.com/wp-content/uploads/pink200806right1-150x150.jpg)
It may alter a state
But not like its mascot Hav’ nese.
The wind takes its toll on the arbor
Across the state and still farther
But as bad as it is
We love Cuba for this
And those best are kept safe in the Harbor.
Before I lay me down to sleep

I can’t leave out the first for ye
The one with the curl
Somtimes coal somtimes pearl
The BIS, “It Had To Be Me.”
